Article Abstract:
In October 1992, Cassina, an office furniture manufacturer, will launch a new range of self assembly office furniture called Airframe. The range is designed by David Chipperfield using aluminium and its constructional shape is based on the box. Chipperfield is not popular in the UK, but is in Japan and Italy. The range is particularly targeted at the Japanese market and is an attempt to move away from carefully researched materials to the simplicity of design.
