New Paltz's Huguenot past

A group of six houses remains of the original Huguenot settlement established in the Hudson Valley in 1677. The houses have been preserved as historic sites, since they bear the distinctive Flemish architecture and furnishings that reflect their European past.

Hudson River retreat

Mint juleps are considered the official drink of Kentucky residents and regarded as both a ritual and a sacred activity. Its discovery in the 19th century was associated with the discovery of the bourbon which is mixed with mint juleps.
