The Purple, White and Green: Suffragettes in London exhibition 1906-1914
Article Abstract:
The Purple, White and Green Suffragettes in London 1906-1914 exhibition held until Jun 13, 1992, is held at the Museum of London. It includes press cuttings, publications, banners, photographs and other memorabilia from the movement. The most striking feature of the exhibits, particularly the printed material, is that it demonstrates the humour of the Suffragette movement, offsetting the popular concept that Suffragettes were unattractive nagging wives, who were poor mothers and wished to be men.

International Boat Show
Article Abstract:
The prospects for UK boat companies is good, despite the increase in sales of reposessed boats. The devaluation of the pound sterling has made UK boats 20% cheaper abroad, equipment sales have remained high, interest rates are lower and the cost of mooring boats in marinas is lower. The market for electric boats is increasing and the governments of Germany and France showed particular interest. The manufacturers of these, however, have increasingly turned to slower historical leisure boats.

Context Questions
Article Abstract:
A reconstruction of an office designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which was commissioned in 1935 by Pensylvanian department store owner, Edgar Kaufman, is on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum from Jan 20, 1993. Wright insisted on total design, which was that all components of a room were designed by him as a whole. He eventually decided to sell his designs as independent objects, in order to raise money. Some individual exhibits are shown at the exhibition.
