Are higher alcohol taxes justified?
Article Abstract:
Evidence shows that the net external costs of alcohol are not higher than the present tax level. Certain economists have written about the need to increase alcoholic beverage taxes. However, an increase in alcohol taxes was found to be unjustifiable after comparing all costs with current tax levels. Any objective evaluation will show that the consumption and abuse of alcohol are on a decline. The implied sinfulness of alcohol consumption is moralistic and is not backed by objective analysis.

The art of visualization
Article Abstract:
Good infographics are precluded by a thorough understanding of visualization. However, the definition of visualization goes beyond its literal meaning. Among the factors to consider in visualization are the interplay between image and text, the visual environment of the reader, the meshing of simple symbols, the visual structure of a material and the difference between inclusive and exclusive symbols.
