The term gentleman used to pertain to a person of birth and rank but, by the 19th century, has come to denote a man of culture, integrity and refinement. Known for their diverse interests and fine tastes, gentlemen were associated with accouterments such as corkscrews, decanters, flintlocks and guns.

Chintz Connection grew out of Jo Anne Welsh's passion for collecting antique chintz ceramics. She began collecting antique china when she moved into her new home in Prince Georges County, MD, in 1982. She is the author of 'Chintz Ceramics' which studies the development of china patterns in England.

Plans for constructing a New England colonial house is presented. It has a chimney serving two fireplaces in the first floor hall and a third fireplace in the master bedroom. Other features include a gabled roof, an attached greenhouse and a two-car garage.
