The e-mail revolution
Article Abstract:
E-mail has become a vital and effective tool in modern-day communications. The first step to take is acquiring an Internet address through an Internet Service Provider after which the global communication links will be opened. The e-mail operates like a regular mail but with distinct advantages including the speed of delivery and access to file libraries, databases and other data. It also operates like the telephone since it provides a link between people in all parts of the world but with a price that is similar to a local phone call.

Intranets: knowledge as power
Article Abstract:
Leading design firms and manufacturers are adopting intranet technologies which serve as effective tools for information flow within the organization and among its branches. They are useful as central repositories and provide an easy access to customers who want to view information without having to learn a particular software program. Creating an intranet involves five components, namely, a computer network, a Web server software, a publication software, Web browsers and a Web manager software.
