Article Abstract:
Maude McLeod, 95, grew up on Monserrat and learned that the people on the island were Hebrews who had been taken as slaves from Ghana. In 1927, she returned to her Hebrew faith and says that Jeremiah, Solomon, and other Biblical figures were black. White Jews sometimes question McLeod's faith, but she continues to attend temple and keep the commandments.
