George Corbyn Barrow
Article Abstract:
Lawyer George Corbyn Barrow studied at King's College, Cambridge, England, qualifying as a solicitor in 1928. He joined the Birmingham, England, law firm Wragge and Co, and remained there for the rest of his working life. He was strongly committed to the law's impact on ordinary people, and played a key role in establishing the Legal Aid system. He became president of the Birmingham Law Society in 1952, and served on the Council of the Law Society for more than 30 years.
