A sleeping beauty
Article Abstract:
The director of the Kirov Ballet, Makhar Vaziev, and a soloist, Sergei Vikharev, are excited to use notes by the early 20th-century ballet director, Nikolai Sergeyev, to choreograph the ballet "Sleeping Beauty." Sergeyev's notes were sold to Harvard University, which copied them for the Kirov Ballet to use in a performance. Many differences exist between Sergeyev's conception and modern day performances.
