Article Abstract:
The study of the Aug 1996 claim of the discovery of alien lifeforms from a Martian meteorite has yielded positive results in terms of the presence of organic biomarkers, biominerals and native features. However, there is still need for more evidence in the areas of cells, colonies and geologic context.

A new initiative for a new millenium
Article Abstract:
The proposed Mars Millenium colonization project is being supported by a number of government agencies and the J. Paul Getty Trust. The project is scheduled to get off the ground in time for 2000 and aims to establish a colony of at least 100 human beings on the red planet by 2030.
