There have been lots of accomplishments in human space flight that have brought various challenges and experiences to astronauts and the whole aerospace sector but there will be more opportunities to expect in the future. Space tourism is one possibility as the cost of space flight is becoming lower.

Space development in the 21st century needs to strike a balance between NASA, private industry and Congress to come up with well-focused programs that will open space to commercial development. An important consideration is a vigorous and independent national space program.
