Refurbished Delta Clipper debuts with high-tech implants

Article Abstract:

McDonnel Douglas Corp. has unveiled the new Delta Clipper vertical takeoff and landing rocket at the US Army's White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The rocket is equipped with sophisticated components, including a graphite epoxy cryogenic fuel tank. It will be used in NASA's reusable launch vehicle program.

Mitsubishi investment puts LunaCorp in drivers seat

Article Abstract:

LunaCorp. will commence the first phase of its 'Lunar Rover Expedition' program in 1999 by sending a pair of intelligent robotic vehicles to the moon. The expedition, which will be funded in part by Mitsubishi Corp., is being touted as the first interactive space exploration.

Mars Pathfinder to break new ground during Martian landing

Article Abstract:

NASA revealed that its Mars Pathfinder program is on schedule for its planned deployment by the end of 1996. Unlike its predecessors, the Pathfinder will use a low-cost combination of parachutes, solid fuel retrorockets to land on the Martian surface.
