Maternal investment in a spider with suicidal maternal care, Stegodyphus lineatus (Araneae, Eresidae)
Article Abstract:
An investigation on whether females adjust the investment of resources differentially into eggs, regurgitation feeding and matriphagy, and how maternal investment affects the size of the young at dispersal is presented. The results revealed that brood size was positively correlated with body mass, larger females had larger broods.

Satellite communications in the 21st century
Article Abstract:
The evolution of satellite communications in the 21st century is toward more powerful satellites that facilitate digital communications. Digital onboard processing will increasingly be used along with affordable data compression. The resulting savings will reduce launching costs of commercial satellites.

Who Stole the Snow?
Article Abstract:
There has not been much snow in Europe in the 1983-84 season. However, Sarajevo, Yugoslavia has had a good snow since December. This bodes well for the Winter Olympics.
