The quality of life and social order in space colonies are likely to differ considerably from an Earth-based human society. The social structure in such colonies will be shaped by a variety of social, physical and psychological factors such as genetics and access to education.

Future space colonies should adopt the American with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines to provide disabled persons with living and working conditions that equal those on earth. This approach will enable the human raise to sustain social growth even in outer space.
