In traffic court, forget reasonable doubt
Article Abstract:
The process of contesting a speeding ticket in traffic court is presented. In this case the driver was cited for driving 15 mph over the speed limit in a residential area. The driver futilely argued his case to the presiding judge, but was only successful in having his fine reduced by $10.

Electric cars in the big apple?
Article Abstract:
U.S. District Court Judge Lawrence E. Kahn in August 1997 ruled in favor of the electric car mandate. The mandate stipulates that 2% of all automakers sales in New York have to be electric cars by the end of 1998 and 10% by the year 2003. Problems with this judgement are presented.
