Do-it-yourself horsepower: how tough is it for the home mechanic to bolt on 130 aftermarket horses to a pushrod Mustang?
Article Abstract:
A novice mechanic installs a Roush Industries SVO GT40 upgrade kit to his Ford Mustang to increase the engine's horsepower. Although he encountered a few problems, the owner found self-installation to be very satisfying. The upgrade boosted the engine 75 hp to a total of 290 hp.

Some desirable cars are not available in the US because the market for them is too small or because US regulations prevent foreign manufacturers from selling them in the US. These cars include the Lotus Elise, Peugeot 306GTi-6, Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 and Ford Puma.
