U.S. to count millions of business firms in the 1992 economic census
Article Abstract:
The US Census Bureau will send questionnaires to over 3.5 million business organizations across the country for the 1992 Economic Census. The economic census is undertaken every five years to identify business trends essential to the measurement of the country's economic growth. The questionnaire includes items soliciting information on such issues as employee number, annual payroll and value of goods and services offerred in 1992. Response to the Economic Census questionnaires is mandatory.

China's almost guaranteed 2002 admission into the World Trade Organization will profoundly affect business in Hong Kong. In turn, this will have a marked effect on the accounting business in that country, where CPAs must anticipate growth trends, changes in foreign investment, and have knowledge and experience of both Chinese and international language and business culture.
