Components of length growth variation in infants from the same population but different environments
Article Abstract:
This article examines several methods used to analyze the growth patterns of infants in Khartoum, Sudan. Findings indicate that babies born to working mothers have higher incidences of infectious diseases and a decreased supine length when compared to infants of housewives in Khartoum.

Do children take the same number of steps every day?
Article Abstract:
Study is conducted to examine the day to day variability in pedometer-assessed physical activity. The results provide the insight into potential age-related biological mechanisms that also influences daily levels and patterns of physical activity.

Early life influences on adult leg and trunk length in the 1958 British birth cohort
Article Abstract:
Data from the 1958 British birth cohort on height in childhood is used to investigate whether short leg length is associated with increased disease risk. Results reveal that leg length is the height component most sensitive to early environment.
