Adaptive basis of codon usage in the haploid moss Physcomitrella patens
Article Abstract:
Patterns of codon usage bias were studied in the moss model species Physcomitrella patens. The results showed that codon bias is not shaped by mutational bias, but rather by weak natural selection of translational efficiency in Physcomitrella patens.
