Metabolic behavior of Lactococcus lactis MG1363 in microaerobic continuous cultivation at a low dilution rate
Article Abstract:
Oxygen can switch the endproducts of glucose metabolism in Lactococcus lactis from formate and ethanol to carbon dioxide and acetate. It also regulates several enzymes, including alcohol dehydrogenase, pyruvate dehydrogenase, alpha-acetolactate synthase, and the NADH oxidases.
