Integrating animal temperament within ecology and evolution
Article Abstract:
The authors study the ecology and evolution of temperament traits such as avoidance of novelty, activity, sociability and aggressiveness. The ecological and evolutionary significance of the temperaments is highly neglected due to the apparent irrelevance of the terminology and lack of understanding of the link between temperament traits and fitness.

Social influences on mammalian circadian rhythms: Animal and human studies
Article Abstract:
The critical assessment of social influences on mammalian circadian rhythms and possible mechanisms of action is presented. The role of social zeitgebers in mammalian behavioral ecology, their mechanisms of action and their usefulness in influencing circadian rhythms in humans are also discussed.
