Longitudinal growth study of male Japanese junior high school athletes

Article Abstract:

This article discusses the pattern of growth in height among adolescent Japanese male athletes compared to controls. Results show small difference in growth patterns among athletes and nonathletes, suggesting that body size and maturation rate in the various athletes from this study were not selective factors.
