Wnt3a (minus/minus)-like phenotype and limb deficiency in Lef1(minus/minus)Tcf1(minus/minus) mice
Article Abstract:
Null mutations in Lef1 and Tcf1 create severe defects in differentiating paraxial mesoderm as well as forming additional neural tubes. Gene inactivations of Lef1, Tcf1, or Tcf4 in mice have not produced phenotypes that recreate any known Wnt mutation. LEF-1 and TCF-1 have redundant roles in Wnt signaling in mouse development.

Ubiquitin-dependent degradation of the yeast Mat(alpha)2 repressor enables a switch in developmental state
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae's differentiation. The authors have investigated the hypothesis that cells' ability to get rid of specific transcription factor by ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis is essential for this differentiation, and they report the results.
