RecQ helicases queuing with Srs2 to disrupt Rad51 filaments and suppress recombination
Article Abstract:
The importance of the human RecQ helicases in regulating the early steps of homologous recombination is discussed. The analysis reveals that RecQ helicases helps in preventing cancer by disrupting Rad51 filaments and suppressing recombination.

RECQL5/Recql5 helicase regulates homologous recombination and suppresses tumor formation via disruption of Rad51 presynaptic filaments
Article Abstract:
The importance of the different RecQ homologos in genome maintenance in mammals is discussed. The results show that RECQL5 helicase is very beneficial in suppressing tumor via Rad51 presynaptic filaments disruption.

Bipartite stimulatory action of the Hop2-Mnd1 complex on the Rad51 recombinase
Article Abstract:
The recombinase activity of Rad51 is stimulated by a bipartite complex formed by genes Hop2-Mnd1. The Hop2 acts as the major DNA binding subunit while Mnd1 is the Rad51 interaction entity.
