Article Abstract:

The damage caused by plants such as kudzu (Pueraria montana var. lobata) and hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata), bald eagles (Haliacetus leucocepalus) and coots (Fulica americana), which were imported from other parts of the globe to America, are discussed. Kudzu overgrows and strangles each and every tree, bush, plant or object that comes in its way and is home to serious crop pests, while hydrilla attract a blue-green cyanobacterium which produces deadly toxins responsible for sickening the ducks feeding on it.
