Surface plasmon resonance imaging-based protein array chip system for monitoring a hexahistidine-tagged protein during expression and purification

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to demonstrate that surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRI) could be used to achieve rapid and high-throughput monitoring of affinity-tagged proteins in the expression and purification processes. It was concluded that the SPRI protein chip system could be used for fast monitoring of a six-His-tagged protein in the expression and purification processes.

Expression of heteropolymeric ferritin improves iron storage in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates enhancement of iron-storing capacity of the recombinant yeast through the expression of heteropolymeric apoferritin. The method employs differentially expressing the H and L subunits of human ferritin, which coassemble into a heteropolymer in vivo leading to enhanced iron-carrying capability in yeast.
