The new scientific spirit
Article Abstract:
The new scientific spirit seeks to restrict applied research to a precise practical goal. Such a research policy is based on a materialistic and pragmatic conception of science. However, attempts to determine the practical utility of research projects a priori amounts to programming the unpredictable. In reality, the utility of research projects can only be determined a posteriori.

Quantative evaluation of the petal shape variation in Primula sieboldii caused by breeding process in last 300 years
Article Abstract:
The Elliptic Frontier desceptors and principal component analysis (EF-PCA) is used in the quantitative evaluation of the Primula sieboldii are discussed. The results reveal that the petal shape features for the four principal components (PCs) have high heritability.
