Las Vegas-based Showboat Inc received another $2 million in management fees from its very profitable Atlantic City division. The parent company posted over a 100% earning increase for the nine months ended Sep 1992. Standard and Poor's also appeared optimistic about the stock because of good liquidity and operating performance. The company pays a 10-cent dividend on the 11.5 million shares. Dir John Gaughan acquired 30,000 shares at 9 7/8 to 10 on Sep 9, 1992.

Age of French cave paintings raised
Article Abstract:
The paintings found in the Chauvet cave near Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, France, have been determined to be 30,340 to 32,410 years old, making them the oldest known cave paintings ever found. Scientists used radiocarbon dating to determine the age of the paintings.
