Clinton confers with Congress leaders

Clinton met with Congressional leaders on Nov 16, 1992, at the governor's mansion in Little Rock, AR, to discuss their mutual concern for he economy. In a joint new conference that followed the meeting, Clinton reported that the office of the President and Congress would cooperate in improving the economy.

President-elect Bill Clinton on Nov 6, 1992, selected former Urban League Pres Vernon E. Jordan and former Deputy Sec of State Warren M. Christopher to lead his transition team. Jordan was named chairman of the team, and Christopher was picked to run daily operations.
