Corporate social responsibility, public policy, and NGO acctivism in Europe and the United States: an institutional-stakeholder perspective

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted using stakeholder theory to find out the impact of institutional environments of Europe and United States on the corporate responsibilities to the society. The study also focuses on the affect of these environments on government policy, corporate strategy and non-governmental organization (NGO) activisms.

Offshore Outsourcing: Implications for International Business and Strategic Management Theory and Practice

Corporate codes of conduct, environmental standards, and international labor standards are suggested as methods for mitigating concerns raised regarding outsourcing, but the author concludes that the practice will likely continue to present challenges to companies, stakeholders, and societies.

Offshoring: Value Creation through Economic Change

The author proposes several varieties of capital-labor tradeoffs to create new services and markets, simultaneously maximizing the economic benefits of offshoring while mitigating for workers the effects of the transition to a global economy.
