The first statistical analysis of Japanese computer sales in Australia has been released. According to the report, twenty-one Japanese vendors are marketing products in Australia. They are strongest in microcomputers, PABXs and personal computers, while they are weakest in word processors.

A comparative analysis of family-owned businesses and non-family businesses is presented. The research highlights the real differences relating to exports, reward systems, profitability etc., between the two types of businesses.
