Cartoon justice
Article Abstract:
Forensic animation is slowly emerging as a way to present interpretations of vehicle collisions, wrongful death cases, mechanical failures, product liability and other legal disputes. The idea is still new to many insurers, while those familiar with it either have not seen a need for it or are turned off by its high cost. It also remains uncertain whether it will be admissible in court, since cases involving forensic animation have not reached higher courts. Among its advantages are its ability to bring a jury to the crime or accident scene and to cram hours of testimony clearly into only seconds of animation.
