In September 2003, Jack Cowin, the founder of Hungry Jack's restaurant chain in Australia emerged as a part of a consortium that brought the Stanbroke Pastoral Company for more than $490 million. Hungry Jack's with the support of it United States parent company Burger King Corporation (BKC), is planning 100 new stores at a cost of $150 million in the next 5 years.
