January jobless rate eases to 7.1%
Article Abstract:
The Dept of Labor reported that unemployment fell from 7.3% in Dec 1992 to 7.1% in Jan 1993. The decline in the unemployment rate was due mostly to the decrease in the size of the civilian labor force rather than a rise in employment.
