The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 5.6% in Aug 1995 and Sep 1995 to 5.5% in Oct 1995. Experts considered this to be a sign of an economic slowdown. The number of employed civilians increased from 125.14 million in Sep 1995 to 125.4 million in Oct 1995.

February joblessness rate drops to 7%

The national unemployment rate for Feb 1993 fell to 7% from 7.1% in January. The civilian labor forced reached 118.5 million workers in February. A total of 365,000 jobs were created in Feb 1993.
