Producer price rose 2.2% in 1995

The Labor Dept reported that producer price index for finished goods increased 2.2% in 1995, compared to an increase of 1.7% in 1994. The price of intermediate goods rose 3.3% and unprocessed crude goods rose 4.1%. The 'core' producer price index rose 2.5%.

Producer prices rose 1.7% in 1994

Article Abstract:

The Labor Dept reported that the finished goods price index increased .2% in Dec 1994, bringing the year-end total to 1.7%. This compares to a total increase of .2% for 1993. Dec 1994, core intermediate prices rose 5.1% and core crude prices jumped 17%.

Producer prices rose 0.3% in February

Article Abstract:

The Labor Dept reported that the producer price index for finished goods rose 0.3% in Feb 1995, the same amount of increase as the previous month. It also reported a 0.3% increase for the 'core' producer price index. Intermediate goods rose 0.9%.
