Pan Pharmaceuticals supplied capsules containing rancid oil to clinical trial involving a pregnant woman, and even the supplied products contained no ingredients as shown in the advertisements. In April 2003 the TGA, auditors withdrew the manufacturing license from Pan and enforced the withdrawal of 1600 products.
