The leader of the ethnic Serbians in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Nov 9, 1992, stated that the only viable solution to the ethnic strife in that region was to formally partition the country along ethnic lines. At the time of the statement, Serbs controlled 70% of Bosnia.

The war in Bosnia-Herzegovina took another turn for the worse when the Muslim enclave was overtaken on Jul 11, 1995. Approximately 40,000 Muslims were forced to flee from their Srebrenica homes. Related developments are also discussed.

Article Abstract:
Serbian attacks Mar 4-11, 1993, prevented the United Nations from evacuating injured Moslem civilians from eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina. The attacks continued despite promises by Serbian leaders that the evacuations would be permitted.
