THE CURRENT RECESSION IS HITTING THE UNITED STATES AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY THE HARDEST. THE GROWING NUMBER OF IMPORTS INTO THE COUNTRY HAS FINALLY TAKEN ITS TOLL ON UNITED STATES CAR MANUFACTURERS. BUT AUTO EXECUTIVES ARE CONFIDENT THAT RECOVERY WILL COME - SOONER OR LATER.
