Take these jokes...please; endless lists of lawyer gags, light bulb riddles and banjo humor clog E-mail's in boxes
Article Abstract:
One of the most common uses of E-mail is fowarding jokes among users. Some observers say that the ease with which this is done is clogging in-boxes across the country. Others say it allows users living far apart to share an interest in humor about their specialities that often isn't appreciated by a wider audience. Corporations are setting standards barring humor that offends certain users. This often has the effect of banning jokes from corporate networks altogether, officially. A mother notes that receiving jokes in E-mail from her son is not the same as keeping in touch.

I.B.M. to offer Linux with Netfinity computers
Article Abstract:
IBM ships Netfinity servers with its own OS/2, with Windows NT and now with Linux pre-installed. Linux was first endorsed last year when Intel invested in Red Hat Software, a distributor of Linux. Now IBM further validates that endorsement by contracting with Red Hat to provide users with technical support. The next problem for anyone using the free operating system software is to find programs that will run on it.
