U.N. report probes El Salvador civil war murders
Article Abstract:
The UN Truth Commission, on Mar 15, 1993, issued a report on human-rights abuses in El Salvador. The report stated that the Salvadoran army, death squads and security forces, which were backed by the US, were responsible for 85% of the violations.

Honduras, El Salvador settle border dispute
Article Abstract:
The World Court resolved a border dispute between El Salvador and Honduras on Sep 11, 1992. The court awarded nearly two-thirds of disputed land to Honduras. The dispute had been ongoing since 1861.
