An American professor who had worked in Singapore was fined S$10,000 by a Singapore court on charges of contempt of court. Christopher Lingle had written an article for the 'International Herald Tribune' that Singapore officials claim criticized their judicial system.

Researchers have found that the brain's anterior commissure is 34% larger in homosexual men than in heterosexual men. This may explain how gay men and heterosexual men process information differently.
