Article Abstract:
The development of the sales forecasting system at Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc. is described. The company is a cosmetics manufacturer and direct seller. The main challenges for the forecasting staff was establishing credibility with management and getting the management to use sales forecasts in formulating marketing and sales strategies.
