A poisonous legal legacy
Article Abstract:
Sadamichi Hirasawa's role in the killing of twelve people in a Tokyo Bank is surrounded by ambiguity. The court believed him to be guilty but he protested his innocence until death. This crusade for proving his innocence is now carried on by his adopted son Takehiko Hirasawa. The challenges faced by him in pursuing the case are discussed.

Tokyo's office tower boom

Despite a stagnant economy, Tokyo is seeing more new office buildings being constructed. The extent of this flurry of activity is reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s. However, rental fees are declining.
