Allianz verifies buyout talks with Pimco

Allianz AG acknowledged that it is engaged in negotiations over the possible takeover of Pimco Advisors Holdings LP. A cash acquisition ranging from $38 to $39 (35.36 euros to 36.29 euros) per share is being discussed by both firms. Allianz is an insurance firm based in Germany, while Pimco is a manager of bond funds based in the US. The estimated worth of the acquisition would be $4.68 billion.
