An urban invitation: New parks and playgrounds by Kinnear Landscape Architects welcome a wide range of responses from their uses

Article Abstract:

Kinnear Landscape Architects is headed by Lynn Kinnear. She trained at Edinburgh's Heriot-Watt University, and became a design coordinator for the Liverpool Garden Festival on completion of her studies. She later worked in large commercial landscape practices but did not enjoy the experience. Her practice was set up in 1991 and one of her main clients has been the London Docklands Development Corporation. She prefers to create parks and playgrounds that are not too prescriptive, but are imaginative and multi-functional.
