Research into warehousing contracts is presented, with particular focus on different types of commitments and times when the commitments can be changed. Dynamic programming procedures are developed for warehouse contracts where the commitment changes are decided by the user.

Research describing a model of inventory where the minimal service level constraints replace the stockout costs is presented. Particular attention is given to explanations of the ways in which optimal ordering is simplified by the minimal service level technique.
