Bin Laden's relative suspected in launch of Abu Sayyaf

Philippine authorities suspect that Mohammad Jamal Khalifa, a brother-in-law of Osama bin Laden, may have been a mastermind in launching the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group and obtaining funding from the Middle East. Analysis of the Abu Sayyaf may be useful in the American war on terrorism.

Bitter legal standoff continues over casino in Manila; Philippine Supreme Court is embroiled in Mondragon, Clark Development dispute
Article Abstract:
Police have barricaded the Mondragon Leisure and Resorts Corp at the request of Clark Development Corp, the government agency empowered to run Clark Field, a special economic zone in the Philippines. The police and Clark Development have been accused of defying the restraining orders issued by the Supreme Court. On the other hand, Clark Development officials claim that it is their right to take over the place because of Mondragon's inability to pay its debts amounting to 465 million pesos.
