Cannibals
Article Abstract:
The United Kingdom Conservative party exists to wield power, and will sacrifice a great deal to achieve this. This view is expressed in a work by Alan Clark, a politician, and John Ramsden, and academic. The flexibility of the Conservative party should help it return to office, but the Labor party has also learnt to be flexible, and it is the Conservatives which have become divided on an issue of principle, relations with the European Union. The Conservatives have also relied on the Labor party being weak, but Labor has become well organized.

Mr Hague's local difficulty
Article Abstract:
The United Kingdom Conservative party has tended not to perform well in local elections and has ceased to be the major party of opposition. The party has almost disappeared in Scotland and in major cities outside London. The party is campaigning on issues of taxation and corruption. The Labor party has not alway performed well where it has been in power, and some councils run by Labor have been affected by corruption, while real estate taxes are often high. The Conservatives have most chance of winning seats in marginal wards in London.
