Around C$535 million was spent on search engine marketing in Canada in the year 2006, proof of the growth of online marketing. However, marketer must ensure that their online strategies compliment what they do offline, as one in every five Canadians have been found to be watching the television and surfing the internet at the same time. Marketer's strategies on increasing their rank in search engines are described.
